At Bonnie Scotland Tours, we specialise in creating private tours of Scotland tailored entirely around you, our valued guests.
From the moment you contact us, we lead the way – helping you plan and curate the most magical, personal and memorable journey across our beloved Scotland.
Travelling from the comfort and style of your very own private modern touring vehicle, accompanied by one of our passionate local driver-guides – we take you far beyond the tourist brochure, to experience a truly authentic Scottish adventure.
Scotland may appear small on the map, but within its landscapes lies a country shaped by extraordinary history, culture and natural wonder stretching back over 480 million years.
From dramatic Highland mountain ranges and ancient glens, to medieval castles, remote islands, legendary lochs and centuries-old whisky distilleries, Scotland offers an incredible depth of experiences — and no two travellers experience it in quite the same way.
At Bonnie Scotland Tours, we believe your journey through Scotland should feel just as unique as the country itself.
Unlike large coach tours with fixed itineraries and rushed schedules, a private tour allows you to experience Scotland slowly, personally and entirely at your own pace. Rather than simply stopping for photographs before moving on, you have the freedom to truly immerse yourself in the landscapes, history and atmosphere that make Scotland so unforgettable.
Whether your interests lie in Scotland’s rich history and culture, iconic movie locations, wildlife, photography, whisky, food or simply discovering the hidden beauty of the Highlands and Islands, every detail of your tour is thoughtfully planned around the experiences that matter most to you.
At Bonnie Scotland Tours, we do far more than simply drive you from place to place.
From the moment you contact us, we work closely with you to carefully plan and curate a journey that feels personal, seamless and deeply memorable from beginning to end.
Travelling alongside one of our passionate local driver-guides in your own modern luxury touring vehicle, you will experience Scotland far beyond the tourist brochure — discovering hidden roads, local stories, quiet scenic moments and authentic experiences that many visitors never get the chance to see.
We understand that every guest is different. Some dream of standing beneath the towering mountains of Glencoe, others wish to explore ancient castles steeped in history, sip whisky beside a roaring Highland fire, follow the footsteps of Outlander and Braveheart, or simply escape into the wild beauty and stillness of the Scottish Highlands.
That is why every Bonnie Scotland tour is intentionally designed around your interests, pace and style of travel; creating a once-in-a-lifetime Scottish experience that feels truly your own.
Unlike traditional group tours, there is no rush, no crowded coach and no rigid timetable pulling you away from the moments that matter most.

Amazing Outlander/Scotland Tour Robbie Review We couldn’t be more pleased with your company and the service that you provided us. Robbie, our Guide, was extremely knowledgeable, very accommodating, (especially since he was touring 6 women) and fun. Although Outlander was the main focus of our tour, Robbie’s extensive knowledge of the whole of Scotland was a gift, providing us with possibilities for other adventures as well as a wonderful learning experience. We highly recommend him and Bonnie Scotland tours.
Highlands Tour with Blair My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the Highlands tour with our driver guide, Blair. Among the places we visited were the Wallace Monument in Sterling, the Kelpies, Linlithgow Palace, Loch Lubnaig, Glencoe, and Loch Ness. At Loch Ness, Blair surprised us with a Scottish whiskey toast. The scenery along the way was beautiful. Blair is knowledgeable about history, geography, art, and architecture, which enriched our appreciation of everywhere we visited. We also talked about education, movies and books; our conversations flowed effortlessly. Blair's enthusiasm and pride in his country is contagious. I highly recommend Blair and Bonnie Scotland Tours.
Fantastic Ancestry Personal Tour I did a fantastic ancestry tour. Looking up my ancestors and what they did in Scotland. They did the research for me, they brought me to the grave site, the church where they went to worship, we found the town and even got to find the house by luck of where one of my major ancestors of my family lived. It was so amazing. And he also brought us to other places to make it also visiting at the same time. I can't thank Bonnie tours enough for their amazing work and dedication to help me in my studies of my ancestry. Robbie our tour guide did such a fantastic job. Dressed in a kilt which was so awesome. He really knew his information. And even talk to people in the vicinity to try to get more information which he did and we were even able to discover his home and talk to people in that town that knew him. And he died 400 years ago. My family is so grateful to Robbie and Scotland Bonnie tours. Thank you thank you thank you so much. Oh and a side note there vehicle was absolutely spectacular and they even had a picnic basket of goodies for us as well. Even love the fresh strawberries were amazing.
Scotland Highlands Tour with Family Outstanding experience. From working with their tour coordinator (Carol), quality of the vehicle and amazing guide (Adam), the entire tour was first class. My family (party of 5) thoroughly enjoyed our Highlands experience and will treasure our time spent in Scotland. Many thanks to the team for a great day in a wonderful land!
Outstanding Highlands and Scotland tour with Robbie Our day exploring the Scottish Highlands with Robbie was one of the highlights of our trip to Scotland. From the moment we set off, his knowledge, enthusiasm, and sense of humor made the experience both informative and incredibly enjoyable. Robbie crafted a fantastic itinerary that took us through breathtaking Highland scenery, charming villages, and some of Scotland’s most beloved castles. Along the way, he shared fascinating stories about Scottish history, culture, and local traditions, bringing each destination to life. What made the tour truly special was Robbie’s ability to balance must-see attractions with hidden gems that we would never have discovered on our own. His passion for Scotland is contagious, and his warm personality made us feel like we were traveling with a friend rather than a guide. The experience was so inspiring that I’ve now made it my mission to start watching Outlander to learn even more about the history and landscapes that make Scotland so magical. I highly recommend Robbie to anyone looking for an unforgettable Highlands adventure. This was a five-star experience from start to finish, and a memory we will cherish for years to come.
Outlander tour with additional time discovering the beautiful countryside. This was an outstanding experience from the booking with Noel to the actual tour with Donald, who wore is kilt all four days. You couldn’t ask for a more knowledgeable and personable guide to discover the Scottish countryside and traditions.
Wonderful experience. Especially if it’s your first time, book it! We wanted to see Edinburgh Scotland and the Scottish Highlands + Isle of Skye and only had 3 days set aside for the Scotland leg of our trip. Carol our trip manager and Donald our tour guide brought this to life and we had the absolute best experience. Granted it could have been 3 weeks there is so much to see! Scotland’s landscape is beautiful, unlike anywhere else, and if you like history there is so much to learn and explore. Donald shared history and lore as we enjoyed the country side going from stop to stop. Highly recommend. It’s more expensive than group style tours but worth it to be able to go at your pace and enjoy your people in this absolutely magical place. Can’t wait to come back!
Customized and efficient tour with a friendly and knowledgeable guide! My husband and I had the most wonderful experience on our 3 day tour of the Highlands. Everything was spot on, right from the planing phase. Pick ups, drive and the stops were are customized to our needs. Our guide Donald was very knowledgeable and very good company. He made sure we were well taken care of in all aspects and was very flexible with any requests we had. Had a memorable and hassle free trip. Overall highly recommend using them for planning your Scotland vacation.
Best tour of our trip! Robbie was a delight! He was so knowledgable and tailored our tour to our interests and energy level. We felt like we had a completely custom experience, the views were beautiful and the history was so interesting. Definitely one of our trip highlights due to the overall experience and tour guide. I know a 10-12 hour tour day sounds long but every moment is needed to see the sights - the van we were in was first class and super comfortable for the whole day. Plenty of planned restroom stops, snacks and sightseeing. Super grateful to Robbie for giving us a 10/10 tour!!!
Aptly named…Bonnie Scotland! On a friends recommendation, I contacted Bonnie Scotland Tours by emailing from their website and received a prompt reply (with the time difference). I explained what my sister in law and I were looking forward to seeing…and Noel came up with a wonderful (and ambitious) itinerary. We video called to fine tune a few things and that was it. But the fun began when we arrived at Edinburgh airport and we were greeted by our smiling kilted guide, Donald. He paid attention to our needs and we moderated the schedule a wee bit. We enjoyed the history, folklore and the beauty that only Scotland can offer, all with a guide that felt more like a friend showing off his hometown. Donald’s knowledge of history and his fun personality together made for a memorable journey. We also met Noel who was doing a tour as well as Nathan. All delightful! The one critique I have is that they provide tours only for Ireland and Scotland…perhaps expanding to other countries will be in the future?
Fabulous Highlands Tour My daughter and I had a fantastic time with Robbie Durham on this tour. Robbie’s knowledge and recommendations were exemplary. The Highlands are magnificent. This tour was the highlight of our trip and made us want to come back to Scotland as soon as possible. Thank you Robbie!
Bonnie Scotland for sure! On a recommendation from a friend, I contacted Bonnie Scotland Tours by emailing to them on their website. They responded within a day and with Noel’s help it was comfortable and easy designing the tour for what my sister in law and I were looking for. Our guide, Donald was so knowledgeable and friendly and could read our interest in different experiences. We loved seeing all the sheep (and lambs) so he booked us a presentation from a shepherd on how he trains his sheep dogs to herd the sheep and gave us a demonstration. The shepherd showed us how to shear the sheep and let us try our hand if we wanted. Very cool! Little things like that make a difference. The amazing beauty of Scotland was highlighted by this very detailed and custom tour company. Now they just need to expand to other countries and we’ll only use Bonnie Scotland Tours. 😊 thanks to Noel, Carol and especially our kilted Donald. (Nice meeting Nathan too). Scotland has a special place in my heart because of BST.
Best Tour In All Our Travels My wife and I had many plans during our time in Scotland, but when we realized we had a few days between Edinburgh and Inverness visits, we decided to schedule a private “Outlander” tour with Bonnie Scotland Tours, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our entire trip. Our driver and guide, Donald, was incredibly knowledgeable, and personable. He not only met our expectations; he far exceeded them. From the very beginning, he took the time to get to know us so he could tailor the experience to our interests, far beyond just “Outlander” sites. This made the four-day tour feel way more personal rather than scripted. We saw an incredible amount, yet we never once felt rushed. Donald guided us to wonderful local restaurants and charming lodgings, turning this portion of our UK trip into something far more meaningful than a typical sightseeing excursion. He had no interest in offering a cookie-cutter “Outlander” tour. Instead, he was determined to create an authentic and memorable experience. He made sure Susan was fully immersed in the “Outlander” locations and stories she loved, while also weaving in Scotland’s broader history and culture in a way that kept both of us completely engaged. Even while driving between stops, Donald pointed out fascinating sites beyond the “Outlander” world, from watching the “Hogwarts Express” train glide along its iconic curved viaduct, to a castle used in the filming of “Monty Python and the Holy Grail, to the remote area where British Commandos were started and trained during World War II. At each location, he provided rich historical context that made every stop feel significant. When one day brought less-than-ideal weather, Donald adjusted seamlessly, rearranging plans so we could still make the most of our time. He even taught us the proper Scottish way to describe the rain, “Pishin’ Dun!”, which still makes us laugh. Our only regret is not submitting this review sooner. Bonnie Scotland Tours is exceptional, and Donald truly feels like a resident professor of all things Scotland. We would not hesitate to book another tour the next time we return. Very respectfully, Darrell & Susan Monroe
An amazing tour The highland loch ness trip was amazing from start to finish. The scenery along the road is spectacular, every stop offering something unique and breathtaking. We covered so many places with in a day. Lunch at Clachaig inn bar was marvellous. The MPV was comfortable and our guide, Donald, was exceptional. He is highly experienced, knowledgeable about all the places and very engaging. His insights added much depth to the places we visited, making the entire experience more memorable. A truly outstanding tour. Highly recommended especially for those who appreciate countryside scenery and nature.
Great trip with Brian Brian was a brilliant tour guide and driver, he explained everything and didn’t rush us at any site. His car/van was spacious and he is a safe and considerate driver. Really enjoyed our trip and took effort in ensuring our comfort. Definitely recommend this trip. - Tom Customise Your Tour
