Outlander Jacobite Adventure - Sensational Tour & Guide - Highly Recommend! I planned this special trip for my 80 years young mom and family/friends that also wanted to experience Scotland (and were all fans of Outlander). We were a group of 6 women from the ages of 24 through 82. From the beginning, working with Bonnie Scotland tours was a breeze. There is the basic 3-day itinerary but they were more than accommodating and encouraging of anything additional/different that we wanted to do during planning stage as well as on the fly. Robbie was the absolute best guide. His knowledge about Scotland and so much more was outstanding, but his humor and kindness made us all feel like family by the end of the (3) days. It was difficult to say good-bye! If we make it back to Scotland to explore some more, we will definitely book with Bonnie Scotland Tours again. Here are a few basics to know, in case they are helpful to your booking decisions: - Scotland is beyond stunning. We all fell in love with the beautiful country, its history and architecture, and especially the people. - There are plenty of snacks and beverages on the tour/van. My daughter has celiac disease and they had snacks specifically for her. - We would make a game plan the night before for our day tour and then make changes on the go if something was nearby that we wanted to see. - Reviewer "Lisa B" and "Passport 8507" were a part of this trip and provided additional information about our experience.
Best tour of Scotland! My group had a wonderful time exploring Scotland with Robbie. Robbie is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and accommodating. He took great care of us, made sure my friend could eat gluten-free on all the stops, and we learned so much on the tour. I will be booking in again with this company.
Great Fun & Beauty—Highly Recommend! Can’t say enough about Bonnie Scotland Tours and our guide, Robbie! We were 6 adventurous gals (aged 20-80) who travelled with Robbie on the 3-day Bonnie Outlander Tour visiting Outlander landmarks, story book villages, gardens, and castle ruins. It was everything we hoped a tour would be, incredible sights, comfortable touring van, plenty of snacks, flexible driver, open to requests (the highland coos!) Robbie kept us informed and entertained throughout, compared Scottish history with the Outlander series, and was polite to a fault! Added bonus— Robbie found the best local coffee shops and pastries each morning. It was unanimous: highly recommend—book this tour group!
Amazing tour for a family including teens and seniors We had a phenomenal tour with Robbie. He adjusted the itinerary to accommodate our group and made sure everyone was happy, entertained, and well-fed! We saw some of the beautiful and amazing sights I've ever seen. Well worth every penny spent!
Best guided tour around Edinburgh My husband and I had an exceptional experience. Graham, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and very accommodating to us. My husband wanted to see the military base his dad was stationed at during WWII. Graham took us out to Leuchars and introduced us to the officer in command that day. They allowed us to take a few pictures and my husband was able to satisfy a long standing dream of his. Graham showed us many other places it’s of Edinburgh. He was very much in tuned with our needs and fulfilled all our hopes of seeing beautiful places and hearing the history and folklore. He even sang to us!! We loved the 5-6 hours we were with him! Thank you for your agency setting all of this up for us. We were beyond pleased!!
Great trip but extra fabulous guide! Had the greatest trip around the highlands of Scotland with Bonnie Scotland Tours. Our guide, Donald, met us at the hotel in Edinburgh, kilt and all, and got us settled in our comfortable mini-van. Stocked with drinks and snacks we were off on the road for the next 5 days full of wonderous sites. Donald was a fabulous guide. Knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating through out the trip. He was on top of sorting out the various parties wishes. (Outlander stuff, castles, Highland cows, art, shopping) The tour covered abig loop of the highlands with stops at all the great locations to see. We did a train from Ft. Williams to Mallig and then a ferry to Isle of Skye. The were did a loop of Skye. With a final stop in Inverness we ended the tour back in Edinburgh. Can't say enough about how great our guide Donald was for the whole trip.
Amazing Outlander/Scotland Tour Robbie Review We couldn’t be more pleased with your company and the service that you provided us. Robbie, our Guide, was extremely knowledgeable, very accommodating, (especially since he was touring 6 women) and fun. Although Outlander was the main focus of our tour, Robbie’s extensive knowledge of the whole of Scotland was a gift, providing us with possibilities for other adventures as well as a wonderful learning experience. We highly recommend him and Bonnie Scotland tours.
Highlands Tour with Blair My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the Highlands tour with our driver guide, Blair. Among the places we visited were the Wallace Monument in Sterling, the Kelpies, Linlithgow Palace, Loch Lubnaig, Glencoe, and Loch Ness. At Loch Ness, Blair surprised us with a Scottish whiskey toast. The scenery along the way was beautiful. Blair is knowledgeable about history, geography, art, and architecture, which enriched our appreciation of everywhere we visited. We also talked about education, movies and books; our conversations flowed effortlessly. Blair's enthusiasm and pride in his country is contagious. I highly recommend Blair and Bonnie Scotland Tours.
Fantastic Ancestry Personal Tour I did a fantastic ancestry tour. Looking up my ancestors and what they did in Scotland. They did the research for me, they brought me to the grave site, the church where they went to worship, we found the town and even got to find the house by luck of where one of my major ancestors of my family lived. It was so amazing. And he also brought us to other places to make it also visiting at the same time. I can't thank Bonnie tours enough for their amazing work and dedication to help me in my studies of my ancestry. Robbie our tour guide did such a fantastic job. Dressed in a kilt which was so awesome. He really knew his information. And even talk to people in the vicinity to try to get more information which he did and we were even able to discover his home and talk to people in that town that knew him. And he died 400 years ago. My family is so grateful to Robbie and Scotland Bonnie tours. Thank you thank you thank you so much. Oh and a side note there vehicle was absolutely spectacular and they even had a picnic basket of goodies for us as well. Even love the fresh strawberries were amazing.
Scotland Highlands Tour with Family Outstanding experience. From working with their tour coordinator (Carol), quality of the vehicle and amazing guide (Adam), the entire tour was first class. My family (party of 5) thoroughly enjoyed our Highlands experience and will treasure our time spent in Scotland. Many thanks to the team for a great day in a wonderful land!
Outstanding Highlands and Scotland tour with Robbie Our day exploring the Scottish Highlands with Robbie was one of the highlights of our trip to Scotland. From the moment we set off, his knowledge, enthusiasm, and sense of humor made the experience both informative and incredibly enjoyable. Robbie crafted a fantastic itinerary that took us through breathtaking Highland scenery, charming villages, and some of Scotland’s most beloved castles. Along the way, he shared fascinating stories about Scottish history, culture, and local traditions, bringing each destination to life. What made the tour truly special was Robbie’s ability to balance must-see attractions with hidden gems that we would never have discovered on our own. His passion for Scotland is contagious, and his warm personality made us feel like we were traveling with a friend rather than a guide. The experience was so inspiring that I’ve now made it my mission to start watching Outlander to learn even more about the history and landscapes that make Scotland so magical. I highly recommend Robbie to anyone looking for an unforgettable Highlands adventure. This was a five-star experience from start to finish, and a memory we will cherish for years to come.
Outlander tour with additional time discovering the beautiful countryside. This was an outstanding experience from the booking with Noel to the actual tour with Donald, who wore is kilt all four days. You couldn’t ask for a more knowledgeable and personable guide to discover the Scottish countryside and traditions.
Wonderful experience. Especially if it’s your first time, book it! We wanted to see Edinburgh Scotland and the Scottish Highlands + Isle of Skye and only had 3 days set aside for the Scotland leg of our trip. Carol our trip manager and Donald our tour guide brought this to life and we had the absolute best experience. Granted it could have been 3 weeks there is so much to see! Scotland’s landscape is beautiful, unlike anywhere else, and if you like history there is so much to learn and explore. Donald shared history and lore as we enjoyed the country side going from stop to stop. Highly recommend. It’s more expensive than group style tours but worth it to be able to go at your pace and enjoy your people in this absolutely magical place. Can’t wait to come back!
Customized and efficient tour with a friendly and knowledgeable guide! My husband and I had the most wonderful experience on our 3 day tour of the Highlands. Everything was spot on, right from the planing phase. Pick ups, drive and the stops were are customized to our needs. Our guide Donald was very knowledgeable and very good company. He made sure we were well taken care of in all aspects and was very flexible with any requests we had. Had a memorable and hassle free trip. Overall highly recommend using them for planning your Scotland vacation.
Best tour of our trip! Robbie was a delight! He was so knowledgable and tailored our tour to our interests and energy level. We felt like we had a completely custom experience, the views were beautiful and the history was so interesting. Definitely one of our trip highlights due to the overall experience and tour guide. I know a 10-12 hour tour day sounds long but every moment is needed to see the sights - the van we were in was first class and super comfortable for the whole day. Plenty of planned restroom stops, snacks and sightseeing. Super grateful to Robbie for giving us a 10/10 tour!!!
Aptly named…Bonnie Scotland! On a friends recommendation, I contacted Bonnie Scotland Tours by emailing from their website and received a prompt reply (with the time difference). I explained what my sister in law and I were looking forward to seeing…and Noel came up with a wonderful (and ambitious) itinerary. We video called to fine tune a few things and that was it. But the fun began when we arrived at Edinburgh airport and we were greeted by our smiling kilted guide, Donald. He paid attention to our needs and we moderated the schedule a wee bit. We enjoyed the history, folklore and the beauty that only Scotland can offer, all with a guide that felt more like a friend showing off his hometown. Donald’s knowledge of history and his fun personality together made for a memorable journey. We also met Noel who was doing a tour as well as Nathan. All delightful! The one critique I have is that they provide tours only for Ireland and Scotland…perhaps expanding to other countries will be in the future? Customise Your Tour
