Meet Noel

Founder, Tour planner & Tour Guide

They say, “Do what you love, and you’ll never work a day in your life.” I’ve tried to live by that ethos, and guiding our guests through Scotland’s breathtaking landscapes and enthralling history is a true passion rather than a job. I find endless inspiration in Scotland’s landscapes, history, and culture. My deep fascination with Scottish history, particularly its Celtic roots and the mysteries of the Neolithic period, fuels my storytelling on every tour.

Before launching Bonnie Scotland Tours, I spent many years in the music industry as a promoter and band manager, creating experiences that connected people through sound and atmosphere. That same creativity now fuels our tours, where every journey is carefully crafted to capture the essence of Scotland—its history, culture, and raw beauty.

Beyond touring, I’m a proud dad of three amazing wee girls. We love heading off on camping adventures across the Highlands and Islands, soaking in Scotland’s wild beauty. When I’m not out exploring, you’ll likely find me braving the North Sea for a swim, playing a round of golf on Scotland’s world-famous courses, or enjoying live music.

At Bonnie Scotland Tours, it’s not just about seeing Scotland—it’s about experiencing it, feeling its stories, and making lifelong memories. Whether that’s uncovering hidden gems, diving into history, or simply soaking in the scenery with a dram in hand, I’d love to show you the Scotland that I know and love.

Meet Nathan

Tour Guide - Whisky and Golf Coordinator

Born and raised in Edinburgh, Nathan is a former professional rugby player who proudly represented Edinburgh Rugby on the field. Now, he’s one of Scotland’s most talented Kilted Guides and heads up Bonnie Scotland Tours’ Golf and Whisky Departments, crafting bespoke experiences for those who share his passion for Scotland’s finest fairways and drams.
A member of North Berwick Golf Club and Edinburgh Academical Golf Club, Nathan knows Scotland’s golf courses inside out—from legendary Open venues to hidden gems. When it comes to whisky, he’s a dedicated Springbank collector and an expert in Scotland’s distilleries, ready to guide guests through unforgettable tastings and exclusive whisky experiences.
A lifelong supporter of Scotland Rugby and Edinburgh Rugby, Nathan’s love for the sport runs deep, and he remains actively involved in the rugby community, including the British Rugby Club of Paris (Scottish Section).
When he’s not guiding, you’ll find Nathan hiking Scotland’s breathtaking landscapes, sometimes joined by his Scottie dog. He’s also a skilled public speaker, often delivering Burns Night addresses and reciting Robert Burns poetry with flair.
With a wealth of knowledge in history, whisky, golf, and Scottish culture, Nathan is always ready with a great story. Ask him anything—you won’t be disappointed!

Meet Donald

Tour Guide - Edinburgh Old Town and Wildlife Expert

A true historian at heart, Donald’s greatest passion lies in Scotland’s history, castles, and legends. His storytelling brings the past to life, from epic clan battles to the hidden secrets of Scotland’s most iconic fortresses. Whether you’re fascinated by medieval sieges, royal intrigue, or eerie folklore, Donald is the guide to ask.
His expertise extends beyond history—Donald is also our wildlife specialist, holding a Zoology degree from Aberdeen University. He has an incredible eye for Scotland’s native creatures, from majestic golden eagles to elusive red deer, making him the perfect guide for those eager to explore Scotland’s wild side.
A proud alumnus of George Heriot’s School (often called the real-life Hogwarts), Donald is one of the foremost authorities on Edinburgh’s past and present, with a wealth of knowledge on the city’s architecture, traditions, and hidden gems.
Off the tour trail, Donald has made his mark in the world of rugby as the most successful president in Heriot’s Rugby history. He’s also a keen golfer and a member of the prestigious Gullane Golf Club, one of Scotland’s finest links courses.
With Donald as your guide, you’re in for an unforgettable journey through Scotland’s history, landscapes, and legends—all delivered with warmth, wit, and a wealth of knowledge.

Meet Jenny

Co-Founder & Office Manager

If Bonnie Scotland Tours is the grand adventure, I’m the one behind the scenes making sure everything runs like clockwork. From booking the perfect hotels to finding the best cafés for lunch and unforgettable restaurants for dinner, I take care of the details so you can focus on experiencing Scotland at its best.
I’m the one who curates the little extras—the drinks, treats, and cuddly toys tucked into our onboard hampers, the thoughtful touches that make a tour feel personal. And at the end of each journey, I create video memory gifts from the photos we capture along the way, so our guests leave not just with memories, but with something to treasure.
Before co-founding Bonnie Scotland Tours, I poured my passion for food into Bramble Bakes, a handmade grazing box business that brought people joy during the pandemic. That love of food remains at the heart of what I do—whether it’s sourcing the best local eateries for our guests or whipping up something special in my own kitchen.
Outside of work, I’m a mum to three incredible girls, and together we explore Scotland’s best family experiences—always with an eye for great food along the way! Whether it’s discovering a new hidden gem or revisiting a favourite spot, I believe Scotland is best enjoyed with good company, great food, and a touch of magic.
